On October 13 AmCham’s Tax Committee hosted Norbert Izer, State Secretary for Tax Affairs as part of our annual consultation cycle.
The State Secretary gave an overview to the Members about the upcoming Fall tax amendment package as well as the short- and midterm plans of the Ministry regarding the digitalization of tax services, such as eVAT, eReceipt and ePayroll (eÁfa, eNyugta and eFIP). In the second part of the meeting the State Secretary Izer and the audience also discussed the state of play of the US-Hungary tax treaty and ask him about the government's current position on the global minimum tax.
The State Secretary thanked AmCham for the continuous consultation and the 'Cooperation for a More Competitive and Sustainable Hungary' Recommendation Package and the Cooperation for a Sustainable and Value Based Healthcare 2021 recommendation package that were shared with the Ministry of Finance and stressed that he would continue to rely on feedback and view of AmCham Member companies.
