AmCham, Ministry for National Economy Establish Strategic Working Group

The Ministry for National Economy and AmCham established a Strategic Working Group to ensure more progressive and structured relation between the two organizations and held a kick-off meeting on December 9, 2015, with the participation of István Lepsényi Secretary of State for Economic Regulation, Zoltán Marczinkó Deputy State Secretary for Priority Enterprise Regulations and several other high representatives of the Ministry.

Participants agreed on a selection of varied topics to be regularly discussed such as ongoing hot themes for key economic actors, recent trends of industry overview, analysis of strategic competitiveness and general business overview suggested by AmCham.

Among the several agenda points of the kick off meeting, AmCham president Ferenc Pongrácz shared key messages from AmCham’s Policy Agenda published in mid-2015, which concentrates on Investment, Talent, Innovation and Healthy nation. Also, as a special highlight László Ábrahám, Chair of AmCham Electronic Manufacturers’ Committee presented an electronic manufacturers’ industry report and shared suggestions on how to further enhance the sector’s competitiveness with decision-makers.
