AmCham and Ministry for National Economy Hold Strategic Meeting

At the 6th AmCham-NGM working group meeting, István Lepsényi, State Secretary for Economic Regulation, Gáborné Pölöskei Deputy State Secretary for Vocational Training and Adult Education, Simon Attila István, Deputy State Secretary of Labour Market and other high-level representatives of the Ministry for National Economy (NGM) met the AmCham delegation led by AmCham President Dr. Farkas Bársony and our PTF leads on July 5, 2017.

At the meeting, István Lepsényi, State Secretary for Economic Regulation gave a detailed presentation about recent macroeconomic trends in Hungary.

Participants covered several topics, including the work of the National Competitiveness Council (AmCham President dr. Farkas Bársony gave a detailed summary of the recent meetings) telework regulation, recommendations on changes of the VAT regulation, vocational training, adult education and other actual topics related to taxation. 

Ministry experts also shared their feedback on AmCham’s competitive workforce and innovation related recommendations of the “Cooperation for a more Competitive Hungary 2017” package.

AmCham – NGM Strategic Working Group

In 2015, the Ministry for National Economy and AmCham established a Strategic Working Group with regular quarterly meetings to ensure more progressive and structured consultation between the two organizations.
